Low Carb Luxury
Lora's pages are (I think) the best resource pages on the Web for Low-Carb dieters. I love this site, and visit regularly, to see if she has updated her sporadic journal! She has put stack loads of work into this site, and it has been inspirational to me, as I have based what my site looks like on her clean, clear layout! (She writes HTML better than me as well! But hey, she should do, she does it for a living!)

UK Shopping!!!!
This list has grown a whole bunch since I last looked!
I do not specifically endorse any of these shops, I am just a nice person that puts links in her pages!
- Davinci Fine Foods UK
Wholesale SF DaVinci Syrups! Ordering a Crate of Syrups is quite easy (Although, as they are *heavy*, make sure you can transport them if getting delivered to work!), and the last time I checked, it was £60 for 12 of the big bottles, with £7.50 carridge, or Free Carridge if you order over £100. Works out at £5.63 per bottle, nearly half price on the rest of the e-tail world. I spoke to Kirsten in the Sales department, and she is very helpful.

US/Canadian sites that deliver to the UK
Not all US site will ship to the UK, but we have found these ones will do so.
These sites either quote shipping costs online, or they will email you
with a quote before you place the order. Providing you can wait, the
cheapest shipping is normally surface mail which is 4-6 weeks. Note that
orders over £18 sterling are liable for UK import duty and VAT when they reach
customs. This will not be quoted in the shipping cost, but you will have
to pay it to the Parcel delivery service that brings your package.
There is a way around this if the company you order from is friendly. Get them to mark the package as a gift, and send invoices seperatly. However, the Duty Limit on Gifts is £50.
- The Low Carb Dieters Page
I cannot Praise Brett and Wanda Highly enough! Their service is superb, they will ship marked as "Gift", and have a $9.00, 1kg Express bag Option (Airmail), which ships here ultra fast! (You have to request this on the order form I believe) They can get a whole box of Bars (without the box)in this bag! They also sell The Carbolite Carb free "Granulated" Sucralose sweetener, and a whole host of other yummy things that we cannot get over here!
- Low Carb Connoisseur
My American "Link-sake", so I have to give it a plug really... General LC Goods, Elaine and Lynn are also very helpful, and will ship as a "Gift".
- Global Drugs
A Canadian site, that stocks Splenda and other Sweeteners at about a dollar cheaper than I have seen on US sites! You can also Get cyclamate based Sugar Twin here. Very reasonable prices and Fast shipping.
Diet, food intake management, carb count and measurement conversion sites
None of these are specific low-carb, and are all American sites, so remember Fibre is INCLUDED in their Carb counts. The Dietary advice given is all Standard American low-cal, so, just ignore it... Hey, what can we say, "Low-fat" is a Faddy diet that America will get over soon... ;-)
- The USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference
The Main information Database used in the US. Remember, in the US, Fiber is INCLUDED in the carb count. In the EU , Fibre is EXCLUDED. This is why American counts are higher than UK counts. So, if you are using this database, you can legitimatly subtract the fiber figure from the Carb count.
- NutritionData
Sort of a cross between fitday and the USDA Nutrient database. Totally US site, based on the USDA data, so the same rules as above apply. However, it is easier to use than the USDA, and there is the ability to show a product's values per 100g, rather than an arbitrary "per serving". You can "make" your own foods, either by adding together foods already in the database, or imputting values from scratch. Also an Amino Acids profiler, very handy for vegetarian Low-carbers, trying to make their complete proteins!
- Fitday.com
An excellent site for inputting and monitoring food intake. Also set weight goals, check your nutritional needs are being met and you can keep a sharable journal.
- DietWatch.com
Another Input and Monitor site
- West Virginia Dietetic Association
Calculate your ideal calorie intake and body weight. Note - this is not a specific low carb site and you may be able to eat more calories a day than suggested on a low carb diet.
- NAT Tools for Good Health
To Quote from their site - "NAT is provided as a public service by the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department at the University of Illinois. The tool is intended to empower individuals to select a nutrient dense diet. It is not intended to replace the advice of a physician or health professional."
